The journal publishes innovative reflections, ensuring their high quality through a peer-review process. Its in-depth analyses are directed not only at an academic audience but also at an interested public. The journal’s aim is to inform and shape security policy debates in a forward-l ooking manner, addressing regional and global challenges within the German-speaking world. With its distinctive profile, SIRIUS fulfils a recognized and unique role, particularly in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.SIRIUS positions itself as a facilitator, connecting the multiple strands of strategic analysis. The journal addresses both traditional and cross-cutting strategic questions. In addition, it features contributions on short- and long-term regional and domestic developments with implications for international security, as well as issues related to internal security and intelligence studies. The journal also publishes contributions of a historical and theoretical nature, aimed at deepening the understanding of strategic interrelations.
