Abstract

Violence in the workplace is a widespread problem. In Germany, approximately 11,000 occupational injuries resulting from violence are registered every year. Particularly affected by violence are people working in healthcare and social welfare. To avoid violence, technical, organisational and personal protective measures are needed. The training of de-escalation officers in the areas affected can be helpful. For victims of psychological and physical violence in the workplace psychotherapeutic support is offered by accidence insurrances.

Zusammenfassung

Gewalt am Arbeitsplatz ist ein weit verbreitetes Problem. In Deutschland werden jedes Jahr 11.000 Arbeitsunfälle wegen Gewalt gemeldet. Besonders betroffen sind Beschäftigte in Gesundheits- und in sozialen Berufen. Zur Vermeidung von Gewalt sind technische, organisatorische und persönliche Maßnahmen notwendig. Die Ausbildung von Deeskalationstrainern kann hilfreich sein. Für Opfer psychischer oder physischer Gewalt gibt es das Psychotherapeutenverfahren der Unfallversicherungsträger.
