DG Data – The Self-Service Portal for Librarians

Our DG Data Portal is an effective tool that allows you to independently manage your institutional holdings. It provides access to holdings lists and the option to download the corresponding MARC records, as well as COUNTER usage reports. You will also find information on IP authentication and a link to register with The IP Registry.

If you would like to register for DG Data, please contact our Sales Operations team. You will then receive a link to set up your admin access. If you already have an individual account on our website, you will be given the opportunity to add DG Data access to this account.

Holdings Lists and Export of Holdings Data

The menu item ‘Holdings’ allows you as an institutional administrator to view the De Gruyter publications licensed by your library. The holdings list is grouped into five different categories:

  • Journals: contains all subscribed and purchased journals
  • Databases: contains all subscribed and purchased databases
  • Books: contains all purchased eBooks
  • eBook packages: contains all purchased eBook packages
  • Other eBook holdings: contains other collections of eBooks. These are collections that have been put together for technical reasons, not packages that your institution has purchased from us in this form.

Please note that areas without licensed publications are not shown in this overview. Click on the ‘Export’ link to download your holdings lists or individual categories as an Excel or CSV file. The exported lists contain the same information as the holdings list displayed in the DG Data portal.

It is also possible to download MARC records for eBooks on an individual book level or for whole eBook packages.

Usage Reports

The "Usage Data" section of DG Data contains usage statistics provided by our partner LibLynx. These include the various COUNTER5 reports, which can be exported in Excel format. The portal also allows users to obtain SUSHI access data for their institutional account.

Updating IP Addresses

In DG Data, under the menu item "Update IPs", we provide some information on how to update your institutional IP-addresses and a link to The IP Registry, our partner for managing IP addresses.
