This chapter is in the book „singen unde sagen“

Abstract

The following article focuses on the text passages including the noun wunte in the Rheinisches MarienlobRheinisches Marienlob. First, the text passages are contextualised within the chronology of the text. In a second step, the collocations are extracted and visualised in frames along conceptual fields. It thereby becomes clear which text passages contain metaphors. In a third step, three metaphors are presented via mappings to show how metaphors function in detail. The paper will present a structural metaphor analysis that includes both the larger conceptual framework (ʻwoundʼ) and the in-depth dimension of the text passages.
