Über diese Zeitschrift
Die Zeitschrift Glottotheory wurde 2008 gegründet und erscheint ab Band 5.1 (2014) bei De Gruyter Mouton. Die thematischen Schwerpunkte von Glottotheory bilden:
- die Beschreibung und Darstellung von Sprachen und Texten unter sämtlichen Gesichtspunkten einschließlich psycholinguistischer, soziolinguistischer, dialektologischer und pragmatischer Aspekte
- die Anwendung von Methoden, Modellen und Erkenntnissen quantitativer Linguistik im Hinblick auf Probleme der Sprachverarbeitung, Sprachdidaktik und Sprachdokumentation
- methodische Probleme der Sprachmessung, Modellbildung sowie Stichproben- und Testtheorie
- epistemologische Ausführungen zur Erklärung von Sprach- und Texterscheinungen
- sowie Beiträge zur Theoriebildung und zur System- und Wissenschaftstheorie.
Die Zeitschrift versteht sich als Plattform für den Dialog zwischen quantitativer und qualitativer Sprachwissenschaft.

Glottotheory is an international journal providing a forum for papers and discussions concerning methodological and theoretical problems of language and text, and empirical characterisation of language and text in qualitative or quantitative form.

Guidelines for authors
Submissions prepared in standard/current word processing programs (preferably MS Word) are welcome. Please do not use any write protection. The languages of publication are English, German and French. All contributions will undergo a pre-screening by the editors and a subsequent peer review process prior to acceptance for publication, following which submissions may be returned to the author for necessary revision.
Please structure your manuscript as follows:
- Your name (e.g.: Thorsten Roelcke)
- Title (and subtitle) of the article
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Body of the text (including footnotes)
- Appendix
- Abbreviations
- References
- Correspondence address
Style guidelines. When preparing a manuscript, authors should refer to the De Gruyter Mouton journal style sheet, especially regarding the proper format for citations and reference entries. The article shoul not exceed a length of aprox. 35,000 characters.
