Zusammenfassung Es ist bekannt, dass neben weil als unterordnender Subjunktion ( weil -Vletzt) weil ebenso in nebenordnender Koordination ( weil -V2) erscheinen kann. Dies geschieht aufgrund normativen Drucks zwar bloß im mündlichen Ausdruck – und wird deshalb im Schulunterricht als grammatischer Fehler gebrandmarkt. Die jüngste Forschung hat aber gezeigt, dass weil -V2 immer stärker vordringt. Die schulische Entscheidung beruht auf einem grundsätzlichen Irrtum: weil mit Nebensatzwortstellung drückt etwas ganz anderes aus als weil mit Hauptsatzwortstellung. Folglich muss dieser Variante ein neuer Schriftsprachenstatus zugewiesen werden. Es wird mithilfe von Distributionsproben dargestellt, wie weil -V2, allgmeiner Subjunktion-V2 erklärt werden kann. Zusammenfassung Sowohl in der Wirtschaft als auch in der Wissenschaft spielen Projekte und Projektmanagement eine zunehmende Rolle. Projekte beeinflussen immer häufiger die Arbeitsstrukturen in Organisationen und wissenschaftlichen Instituten. Sie ermöglichen dynamisches, flexibles und vernetztes arbeiten, was in der heutigen Welt gefragt ist. Projektbasierte Arbeit bringt jedoch auch unterschiedliche Herausforderungen mit sich. Besonders im Falle von komplexen Projektkonstellationen, an denen Spezialisten aus verschiedenen Fachrichtungen und Ländern beteiligt sind, können strukturelle, sprachliche und kulturelle Hürden sehr groß sein. Der Artikel stellt theoretische Überlegungen zu der von der Forschung bislang vernachlässigten Beziehungsebene in der interkulturellen Projektkommunikation an und analysiert die Rolle von Asymmetrien für die projektinterne Kommunikation anhand von E-Mail-Interaktionen aus Wissenschafts- und Wirtschaftsprojekten. Zugrunde liegt ein Korpus von projektinternen E-Mails aus zwei interdisziplinären und interkulturellen Wirtschaftsprojekten und einem solchen aus dem Wissenschaftsbereich (vgl. Zając 2013, Alnajjar 2016, Pelikan 2015a, 2015b).

The following paper describes the algorithms of phonetic and metrical components of the Czech verse processing system KVĚTA, updating information contained in previous reports (Ibrahim and Plecháč 2011; Plecháč et al. 2013a; Ibrahim and Plecháč 2014). The system is being used in the building of the Corpus of Czech Verse (hereinafter CCV), which at present contains 1 689 Czech books of poetry (over 2.5 million lines) from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In contrast to standard language corpora, in each lexical unit are not only the lemma and morphological tag attributes assigned but they also contain a phonetic transcription; furthermore, the attributes metre (iamb, trochee…), length (number of feet), ending (feminine, masculine…) and metrical pattern are assigned to each verse line. At higher levels rhyme pairs (or n -some) and fixed forms (sonnet, rondel, etc.) are annotated. Here we will focus on components providing phonetic and metrical annotation: (1) the F-component, whose task is to derive the phonetic transcription from the input data, (2) the G-component, whose task is to generate a set of all possible metrical interpretations of these data, and (3) the M-component, whose task is to select from this set the final interpretation. Automatic analysis has so far been limited to accentual-syllabic (hereinafter AS) and monometric poems – i. e., poems consisting of repetitions and variations of a single metrical pattern (though AS imitations of some quantitative meters are recognized).

It isn’t particularly difficult to use one’s own language in computer-mediated communication, when the language has a written culture. However, the situation is different, when the language is only an orally transmitted language and one wants to use it for communication in New Media. There is a lack of unified rules, to which one can orientate oneself. The native speakers of Tarifit, who want to use their language in computer-mediated communication as well (like in Facebook groups), are in such a situation. There are many Facebook groups of Rifian Berbers, but the communication within these groups is usually not only in Tarifit. In groups with cultural topics on the other hand, a dominance of Tarifit can be observed. This includes groups, which have been created specifically for the culturally typical rhyme-songs of the Rif, the so-called “izran”. The analysed corpus of the present study originates from such a group. The initiated standardization processes for Berber in Morocco have not had any impact on the language use in social networks yet. The Berber script Tifinagh, introduced in Morocco’s education system in 2003, has never been used for communication between group members. The Arabic script is rarely used. This behavior can have different reasons, which are discussed below. It can be observed, that the Latin writing system is often chosen for the notation of Tarifit. Instead of using diacritics, the Latin characters are complemented by Arabic numerals when certain sounds have no corresponding graphemes. The choice of the writing system requires a constant assignment of graphemes to the sounds, but the notations are often characterized by the absence of uniform spelling and by neutralisations between phonemes.

We introduce a new indicator for activity in written or spoken language, defined by the number of verbs appearing before the adjectives. The concept is applied to Italian presidential speeches.
