Abstract

Discussions on how globalization has significantly affected the flows of people, goods, information and languages, and how these flows are connected to the use of multiple languages in contemporary societies. The notion of superdiversity by Vertovec helps in the understanding of the ‘diversification of diversity’ (or diversity within diversity) which affects societies (in general) and higher education (in particular) - considering aspects such as age, class, country of origin, etc.
