Abstract

Outlines of an intellectual biography of Ruth and Dieter Groh. This chapter sketches the outlines of an intellectual biography of Ruth and Dieter Groh. Both have been largely ignored in the history of historiography. In the case of Ruth Groh, this may be due to the fact that she is not a historian by training. In the case of Dieter Groh, the assumption put forward here is the reason for the lack of reception which can be attributed to the fact that his work is so difficult to categorize. In order to understand this work and its personal as well as intellectual-historical contexts, the following considerations attempt to sketch an intellectual biography, which should invite further study of the intellectual biography and work of Ruth and Dieter Groh.
