Abstract

Contributing to economic growth, job creation, and social development, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in many economies. However, SMEs face various challenges, including leadership, talent management, automation, and collaboration. This study’s objective is to investigate how innovation practices can boost the sustainability of SMEs, considering that innovation is widely acknowledged as a significant factor driving sustainability for enterprises. The study has adopted the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) for understanding the innovation practices acceptable to the SMES, and regression analysis is applied to understand the challenges faced by SMEs in implementing sustainable-oriented innovation in the organization. The findings suggest that SMEs that embrace innovation as a strategic approach are better positioned to address challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve long-term sustainability.
