Abstract
Textiles are used for apparel, home textiles, as well as industrial applications. This chapter discusses recent trends in textiles used for these areas. The introduction of new fibers that may be used for certain applications has also helped to introduce new textile products. In addition, the recent technological developments and automation in terms of textile machinery are also discussed in this chapter. The textile processes and their advancements are also a part of this chapter.
