Abstract

The present proposal is to analyze the linguistic landscape of the municipality of Toribío (Colombia) as a means of testimony of the autonomous indigenous resistance against the violence suffered by the Nasa communities during the Colombian Conflict. The methodological approach proposed is based on the cultural analysis of the units from their context referent to social tensions, with an emphasis on its “meaning-making” (Ivkovic & Arfin, 2019) value. This will also rely on palabrandar, a category of the Nasa epistemology that means the ability to “walk the word” (Almendra, 2017, p. 73) so that it may be a transformative path and action of the community environment.
