Zusammenfassung Probleme bei der Umsetzung dualer Karrieren von Spitzensportler*innen können zu vielfältigen Krisen führen, die sich im Hinblick auf finanzielle oder berufsbezogene Aspekte zeigen. Förderstellen für Spitzensportler*innen in staatsnahen Dienstbereichen sollen solchen Karriererisiken entgegenwirken, wobei den Sportfördergruppen der Bundeswehr eine herausgehobene Stellung zukommt. Der vorliegende Beitrag typisiert berufsqualifizierende Bildungsverläufe von Sportsoldat*innen und beschreibt diese weiterführend. Es konnte eine Stichprobe von n=414 aktuellen und n=298 ehemaligen Sportsoldat*innen (weiblich=36,5 %, männlich=63,5 %) im Rahmen einer standardisierten Online-Befragung in einem quantitativen und retrospektiven Forschungsdesign generiert werden. Zum Zeitpunkt der Befragung hatten 80,6 % der Sportsoldat*innen mindestens eine akademische oder berufliche Ausbildung aufgenommen. Die elf mittels Clusteranalyse identifizierten Verlaufstypen verdeutlichen die Heterogenität und Individualität berufsqualifizierender Bildungsverläufe von Spitzensportler*innen. Ausgehend von den vorliegenden Daten können für den überwiegenden Anteil der aktuellen und ehemaligen Sportsoldat*innen keine besonderen Risiken im Hinblick auf duale Karrieren konstatiert werden. Die Studie erweitert den Kenntnisstand zum Verlauf von Ausbildungskarrieren, indem über die Priorisierung dualer Karrieren hinausgehend, der Individualität berufsqualifizierender Bildungsverläufe stärker Rechnung getragen wird.

Sport und Gesellschaft – Sport and Society is a multidisciplinary journal publishing original articles in the fields of sports sociology, sports philosophy, sports economics, and sports history. In addition, it publishes book reviews, research reports as well as articles "Out the Series" (see below) in German and English
The journal Sport und Gesellschaft – Sport and Society offers a forum for publication and discussion by sport scientists and social scientists engaged in research on the phenomenon of sport. It aims to encourage interest in current issues of sport sociological research and to foster dialog among the various social science disciplines. It also endeavors to stimulate dialog between research and practice, and is therefore intended not only for scholars but also for those working in sports organizations, in sport policy, in sport administration, in the business world, and in the media who are dealing with social scientific questions pertaining to sport.
Sport und Gesellschaft – Sport and Society is particularly committed to offering a discussion forum and publication outlet for young scholars. The editors endeavor to promote social science research on sport by publishing original work on issues of current interest. Articles may focus on developing and refining theories, presenting research findings, or exploring questions of research methodology.
The journal Sport und Gesellschaft – Sport and Society strives to maintain high standards of quality. Authors are therefore asked to ensure not only the scholarly rigor but also the linguistic quality of their submissions.

). Manuscripts should include abstracts of no more than ten lines each in length, and a statement declaring that the article has not been submitted to or published in any other journal.
Review articles and research reports should be no longer than 20 pages in length; book reviews and commentaries should be no longer than five pages in length. A page is defined as 3,000 characters including spaces.
Book reviews and research reports should not exceed 15,000 characters (including spaces). Furthermore, there is the possibility of submitting articles "Out of series". This section comprises four articles formats: (1) A "commentary" on a current topic related to the world of sports. (2) "Pro and Contra" - controversies between two or more authors on a sports or practical topic. (3) The "re-reading" of "classic" or "forgotten" texts, the re-reading of which is presented as beneficial. (4) "Cross-reading" articles about authors who do not come from the field of sports science and who may never have discussed on the subject of sport, but from whose perspective it seems worthwhile to reflect on sports. Articles in the "Out of the Series" section should not exceed 25,000 characters (including spaces). They will be reviewed by the editors.
The formal design of the manuscripts is to be undertaken in accordance with the layout and citation references compiled here.
Submissions will be subjected to peer review by at least two qualified referees. Authors can generally expect a decision on publication within two months and will receive detailed recommendations for revision, if applicable, or information on reasons for rejection.
When an article has been accepted and published by the publisher, publishing rights for all languages and countries, including photomechanical or any other form of reproduction, are transferred to the publisher. This does not affect §38 of German Urheberrecht (copyright law), under which the article may be published elsewhere after one year.
