Die Ermittlung des optimalen Ressourceneinsatzes in der Produktion mit Hilfe klassischer Optimierungsverfahren (gemischt-ganzzahlige Optimierung) basiert auf einer gleichungsorientierten mathematischen Modellierung. Die Entwicklung und Wartung derartiger Modelle ist zeitaufwändig und erfordert viel Wissen und Erfahrung. Eine Alternative bietet die Modellierung mit Hilfe zeitbewerteter Automaten, wobei die einzelnen Aufgaben und Ressourcen grafisch und modular beschrieben werden. Optimale Produktionsabläufe können durch Erreichbarkeitsanalyse mit leistungsfähigen Tools ermittelt werden. Vergleichsstudien zeigen, dass dieser Zugang auch hinsichtlich der Lösungsqualität mit der gemischt-ganzzahligen Programmierung mithalten kann. The determination of the optimal allocation of ressources in production processes is traditionally based on equation-oriented modeling and mixed-integer programming. Model development and maintenance require the knowledge of experts and are time-consuming. An alternative approach is based on timed automata (TA). The jobs and the resources are modeled by a set of synchronized TA, and the scheduling problem is solved by searching for a cost-minimizing sequence of states from an initial into a terminal state in which all jobs are finished. The appeal of the approach is the intuitive and modular graphical modeling and the efficient solution by appropriate tools; we illustrate this for a number of difficult job-shop instances.

Dieser Beitrag behandelt die zeitoptimale Ablaufplanung für zyklische Prozesse mit Pooling-Ressourcen. Wir stellen einen Ansatz vor, mit dem eine große Klasse zyklischer Ablaufplanungsprobleme modelliert werden kann. Wir zeigen, wie das resultierende Modell durch Reduktion der Freiheitsgrade und Reparametrierung vereinfacht werden kann, ohne die optimale Lösung auszuschließen. Durch eine geeignete Transformation wird das reduzierte Problem auf ein lineares gemischt-ganzzahliges Optimierungsproblem abgebildet, das mit etablierten Verfahren effizient gelöst werden kann. Pooling-Ressourcen, d. h. Ressourcen, die bei jeder Aktivierung eine vorgegebene Anzahl von Werkstücken/Proben verarbeiten müssen, lassen sich ebenfalls in den vorgestellten Ansatz integrieren. The topic of this contribution is the time-optimal scheduling of cyclic processes with pooling resources. We present a modelling framework that captures a large class of cyclic scheduling problems. We show how the resulting model can be considerably simplified without cutting the optimal solution. This involves a reduction and a reparametrisation of the degrees of freedom. The reduced model can be transformed into a linear mixed-integer program (MILP), for which a globally optimal solution can be efficiently computed using standard algorithms and tools. We also show how pooling resources can be treated in our framework. Pooling resources have a capacity greater than one and must, at each activation, be loaded to capacity.

We present a multistage stochastic programming formulation for monthly production planning of a hydro-thermal system. The formulation explicitly considers the stochasticity from variations in water reservoir inflows and electric energy demand. The problem is solved efficiently applying Nested Benders Decomposition. The solution is implemented in a model predictive control scheme. Closed loop simulation results are shown to illustrate performance of the controller. The solutions of the medium term scheduling problem can then be used as reference inputs for short term planning and lower level controllers to avoid greedy usage of reservoir water. Die Veröffentlichung stellt eine Multistage-Stochastic-Programming Formulierung zur Lösung eines monatlichen Produktionsplanungsproblems für ein hydro-thermisches Kraftwerkssystem vor. Diese Modellierung beinhaltet explizit die stochastischen Variationen der Zuflüsse zu den Wasserspeichern, sowie die Schwankungen des elektrischen Energiebedarfs. Das Problem wird unter Anwendung der Nested Benders Decomposition effizient gelöst. Simulationen des geschlossenen Regelkreises werden vorgestellt, um die Funktionsweise des Reglers zu zeigen. Die Lösungen des Problems für mittlere Zeithorizonte können als Eingangssignale für Regler mit kurzen Zeithorizonten genutzt werden. Somit wird ein Aufbrauchen des gespeichertenWassers durch zu kurze Planungshorizonte vermieden.

Die Bestimmung der optimalen Bearbeitungsreihenfolge auf einer Grobblechwalzstraße stellt ein komplexes kombinatorisches Optimierungsproblem mit mehreren unterschiedlichen Zielsetzungen und zahlreichen technischen und logistischen Restriktionen dar. Stochastische Hill-Climbing-Algorithmen sind lokale Optimierungsverfahren, die zufällige mit strategischen Elementen kombinieren. Mit ihrer Hilfe ist es möglich, den Fertigungsprozess an der Grobblechwalzstraße zu optimieren und eine maximale Flexibilität im Produktmix zu erhalten. Gleichzeitig wird die Prozess-Sicherheit erhöht, Engpässe werden vermieden und Kosten gesenkt. The optimization of the manufacturing sequence on a heavy plate rolling mill yields in a complex combinatorial optimization problem, including several different objectives and a large set of technical and logistic constraints. Stochastic Hill-Climbing-Algorithms are methods of local optimization, combining random and strategy. By means of these algorithms it is possible to improve the manufacturing process of heavy plate rolling mills with main focus on providing maximum flexibility in the product mix. In addition the reliability of the process is enhanced, bottlenecks are avoided and total costs can be reduced.

Für Mehrproduktanlagen in der Prozessindustrie hat Bayer Technology Services das optimierende Planungswerkzeug BayAPS®-PP entwickelt. Kernstück der Software BayAPS®-PP ist ein neuer und schneller Algorithmus. Dieser verteilt die verfügbare Produktionskapazität einer Mehrproduktanlage auf die verschiedenen Produkte so, dass - je nach Blickwinkel - der gesamte Service-Level bzw. der gesamte erwartete Absatz maximiert wird. Dabei werden die für die Prozessindustrie typischen Nebenbedingungen beachtet. For multi-product lines in the process industry Bayer Technology Services developed the optimization planning tool BayAPS®-PP. The core of the software BayAPS®-PP is a new and fast algorithm that distributes the production capacity of a multi-product line to the several products such that - depending on the perspective - the total service level or the totally expected sales are maximized. The algorithm obeys constraints, which are typical for the process industry.
