Mose und Maria – »Amuns Kind und Liebling« – Auf den ägyptischen Spuren zweier biblischer Namen

Abstract
In der Vergangenheit gab es zahlreiche Vorstellungen über die ägyptische Wurzel des Namens »Mose«. Immer wieder wurden dabei vokale und konsonantische Abweichungen zwischen Ägyptischen und Hebräischen in Rechnung gestellt. Daneben wurde die nicht notwendige kulturelle Verbindung zwischen biblischen Namen und ägyptischen Beispielen in Frage gestellt. Neue linguistische Befunde haben diese Verbindung wahrscheinlicher gemacht, nicht nur für den Namen des »Mose«, sondern auch für den Namen seiner Schwester »Mirjam«. »Mose« ist sicher die Abkürzung für einen vollen Namen »Kind (von Gottheit) «, »Mirjam« gibt die volle Form von »Geliebte von Amun« wieder.
Abstract
In the past the ideas on the Egyptian root of the name »Mose« were numerous. Again and again both vocal and consonantal disharmony between Egyptian and Hebrew were considered. Beside that the unnecessary cultural link in biblical names to Egyptian example was contradicted. New linguistic proves have made the link more probable, not only for the name of Mose but also for the name of his sister Miriam. »Mose« is surely the abbreviation of the full name »Child (of god)«, »Miriam« is meant to be the full form of »Beloved by Amun«.
Abstract
On a avancé bien des propositions quant à la racine égyptienne du nom de »Moïse«, en justifiant toujours à nouveau les divergences vocaliques et consonantiques entre l’égyptien et l’hébreu. Ainsi on a mis en cause la relation culturelle, qui serait non évidente, entre les noms bibliques et les exemples égyptiens. Or une nouvelle documentation linguistique rend cette connexion plus vraisemblable non seulement pour le nom de »Moïse«, mais également pour celui de sa sœur »Mirjam«. »Moïse« est certainement l’abréviation d’un nom complet »Fils (de divinité)« et »Mirjam« rend la forme pleine de »Aimée d’Amon«.
