Barbara Seidlhofer,
Barbara Seidlhofer is Professor of English and Applied Linguistics at the University of Vienna and the founding director of the Vienna-Oxford International Corpus of English (VOICE). Her most recent book is
Understanding English as a Lingua Franca (Oxford University Press, 2011). She was also for several years editor of theInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics and is now editing theJournal of English as a Lingua Franca with Jennifer Jenkins and Anna Mauranen.
