Society for Promotion of Sustainable Agriculture (SPSA), Division of Agricultural Chemicals Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of India (MAPAI), Anand and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi (INDIA) invite you to the 3rd International IUPAC conference on “Agrochemicals Protecting Crop, Health and Natural Environment – New Chemistries for Phytomedicines and Crop Protection Chemicals” to be held in New Delhi, India during 6-9 April 2016.

The conference will provide a forum for scientists of different disciplines, industry, and other stakeholders to discuss the latest trends and discoveries in agrochemicals, deliberate on important issues of agricultural research, and present views as policy inputs to the planners, decision- and opinion-makers at various levels. The conference will consist of a number of plenary and keynote lectures by the world’s leading scientists reviewing the principal theme areas of the conference. Besides new compounds, new concepts, and new uses, the conference will cover other traditional areas of research such as pest diseases, weed and resistance management, exploring biodiversity for botanical and biopesticides, genetically modified crops, and nutraceuticals, as well as research into effects on human health, risk management, ecotoxicology, and remediation strategies. The conference will also deliberate on other key issues, such as analytical chemistry, pesticide residues in crops, food commodities, water, beverages, and changes in pesticide regulation. Contributory research papers will also be included in the relevant poster sessions, which will be an important part of the conference.

The text of all the oral and poster presentations will be published in the proceedings. The official language of the symposium will be English. It is also proposed to organize a concurrent instrument and manufacturers exhibition during the symposium.

The main themes of the conference will be:

  • Synthetic and natural agrochemicals

  • Pesticide management for healthy ecosystems, human safety, food and nutrition security

  • Pesticide industry: Prospects, constraints, quality management

  • Agrochemicals formulations and application technologies

  • Biotechnology and crop protection-current and future approaches

  • Medicinal & Aromatic Plants and nutraceuticals

  • Nanotechnology and its applications in agriculture and health.

  • Integrated Pest Management

  • Fertilizer Technologies for improving efficiency, productivity and reliability, nutrient based subsidy policy, customized fertilizers etc.
