Eine neue Interpretation des Hoheliedes 8,5ab

It is argued here that there are sufficient reasons to indicate that the hapax legomenon mtrpqt in Song of Songs 8,5 (MT) is the result of corruption in the text. By metathesis of the consonants r and p the original reading mtprqt, a Hithpael participle of the verb prq, was lost. So the original text, whose style corresponds to the poetic character of Song 8,5, read (in translation): »Who is she, coming up out of the desert, breaking free after her beloved?«

Cette étude tente de montrer qu'il y a suffisamment d'indicateurs pour considérer le Hapax legomenon mtrpqt en Cant. 8, 5 (TM) comme une corruption textuelle. Le terme originel mtprqt, un participe Hitpael du verbe prq, disparut par métathèse des consonnes r et p. En conséquence, il faut traduire ainsi le texte originel, dont le style correspond au caractère poétique de Cant. 8, 5: »Qui est-elle, celle qui monte du désert, s'arrachant vers son amant?«.

In diesem Beitrag wird argumentiert, dass es ausreichende Indikatoren gibt, die darauf hinweisen, dass das Hapax legomenon mtrpqt in Cant 8,5 (MT) einer Textkorrumpierung zuzuschreiben ist. Durch die Metathese der Konsonanten r und p ging das ursprüngliche Wort mtprqt, ein Partizip Hitpael des Verbs prq, verloren. Demzufolge lautete der ursprüngliche Text, dessen Lesart dem poetischen Charakter von Cant 8,5 volles Recht gibt, in Übersetzung: »Wer ist sie, heraufsteigend aus der Wüste, sich losreißend nach ihrem Geliebten?«
