Résumé Le schéma narratif de Greimas résulte de l'analyse systématique des catégories d'actions que Propp a définies en complément de ses catégories de personnages. Or, la portée extrêmement générale de ce schéma invite à le considérer comme une véritable théorie de l'action. Wiener, créateur de la cybernétique, nous permet de mieux comprendre celle-ci. Par ailleurs, à partir d'une étude de la théorie des groupes en mathématiques et des oppositions logiques de Blanché, il nous est apparu possible d'améliorer la structure élémentaire de la signification et, ce faisant, d'améliorer le modèle actantiel de Greimas.
