Banaschewski’s theorem concerns subdirect product decompositions of lattice ordered groups. In the present paper we deal with the analogous investigation for the case of generalized MV -algebras (GMV -algebras, in short); we apply this notion in the sense studied by Galatos and Tsinakis.

Necessary and sufficient conditions for a connected monounary algebra (A, f), under which the lattice R ∅(A, f) of all retracts of (A, f) (together with ∅) is algebraic, are proved. Simultaneously, all connected monounary algebras in which each retract is a union of completely join-irreducible elements of R ∅(A, f) are characterized. Further, there are described all connected monounary algebras (A, f) such that the lattice R ∅(A, f) is complemented. In this case R ∅(A, f) forms a boolean lattice.

For a monounary algebra (A, f) we denote R ∅(A, f) the system of all retracts (together with the empty set) of (A, f) ordered by inclusion. This system forms a lattice. We prove that if (A, f) is a connected monounary algebra and R ∅(A, f) is finite, then this lattice contains no diamond. Next distributivity of R ∅(A, f) is studied. We find a representation of a certain class of finite distributive lattices as retract lattices of monounary algebras.

In this paper, by means of a new idea, the concept of (invertible) (∈,∈∨q)-fuzzy n-ary subhypergroups of a commutative n-ary hypergroup is introduced and some related properties are investigated. A kind of n-ary quotient hypergroup by an (∈, ∈∨q)-fuzzy n-ary subhypergroup is provided and the relationships among (∈, ∈∨q)-fuzzy n-ary subhypergroups, n-ary quotient hypergroups and homomorphism are investigated. Several isomorphism theories of n-ary hypergroups are established.

In this paper, some existence theorems are obtained for nonconstant periodic solutions of second order Hamiltonian system with a p-Laplacian by using the Linking Theorem.

In this paper, we provide a test under which every solution of a first-order delay differential equation oscillates. An example is given to illustrate the significance of the result.

In this paper, we introduce the concepts of statistical monotone convergence and statistical order convergence in a Riesz space, and establish some basic facts. We show that the statistical order convergence and the statistical convergence in norm need not be equivalent in a normed Riesz space. Finally, we introduce the statistical order boundedness of a sequence in a Riesz space.

The aim of this paper is to present a Korovkin-type approximation theorem on the space of all continuous real valued functions on any compact subset of the real two-dimensional space by using a A-summation process. We also study the rates of convergence of positive linear operators with the help of the modulus of continuity.

In this small note, we will characterize the boundedness, compactness and closedness of the range of the multiplication operators on Lorentz-Karamata-Bochner spaces L p,q;b(Ω,X) for p, q ∈ (0,∞].

Motivated by some recent works due to Singh and Kumar and Ahmed, the main result of Imdad and Ali is generalized and improved by removing the completeness assumption besides weakening the quasi-coincidentally commuting property of the involved hybrid pair to S-weak commutativity. Some illustrative examples are also furnished to support the genuineness of our extension besides deriving some related results.

We investigate some geometric aspects of lightlike hypersurfaces of indefinite Kenmotsu manifolds, tangent to the structure vector field, by paying attention to the geometry of leaves of integrable distributions. Theorems on parallel vector fields, Killing distribution, geodesibility of their leaves are obtained. The geometric configuration of such lightlike hypersurfaces and leaves of its screen integrable distributions are established. We show that no totally contact umbilical leaf of a screen integrable distribution of a lightlike hypersurface can be an extrinsic sphere. We also prove that the geometry of any leaf of an integrable distribution is closely related to the geometry of a normal bundle.

We give interesting characterizations using subcontinuity. Let X, Y be topological spaces. We study subcontinuity of multifunctions from X to Y and its relations to local compactness, local total boundedness and upper semicontinuity. If Y is regular, then F is subcontinuous iff $$\bar F$$ is USCO. A uniform space Y is complete iff for every topological space X and for every net {F a}, F a ⊂ X × Y, of multifunctions subcontinuous at x ∈ X, uniformly convergent to F, F is subcontinuous at x. A Tychonoff space Y is Čech-complete (resp. G m-space) iff for every topological space X and every multifunction F ⊂ X × Y the set of points of subcontinuity of F is a G δ-subset (resp. G m-subset) of X.
