Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Längle is head of the department “Visual Inspection Systems” at the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation IOSB, Karlsruhe, Germany, and adjunct professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Department of Informatics, Institute for Anthropomatics and Robotics, Karlsruhe, Germany. His research interests include different aspects of image processing and real-time algorithms for inspection systems.
