transcript is one of Europe’s leading independent academic publishers with a focus on publishing in cultural studies and the social sciences, in history, philosophy, and in cultural management. More than 100 series and about 400 frontlist publications in German- and English-language – including a continously growing number of Open Access publications – are on offer. The backlist catalogue includes more than 5.000 titles. Since the beginnings in the late 1990s, transcript has been dedicated to providing an editorial service for innovative and critical research.
