Abstract

This introductory chapter discusses the new structure of the current policy review. It also serves as a comprehensive summary of the chapters contained in this volume, starting with the contemporary developments in social policy. The second part examines the recent developments in social policy, this time using a broader perspective. The third and final part is mostly concerned with New Labour.
