Summary
A study has been made of the potential applicability of different gamma emitters for (γ, n) neutron sources. Some experimental data on the preparation of such sources are reported, and the neutron fluxes obtained with experimental sources are given. A table of high energy gamme emitters (Ε γ > 1.66 MeV) obtainable by activation in a nuclear reactor is also given.
