General scope

Since 1975 and on a 4-year basis, this meeting brings together researchers from academia and industry and offers a forum for discussions on the chemistry involved in the preparation of industrial heterogeneous catalysts.

Papers are selected by a scientific committee consisting of representatives from catalysis industry (manufacturers and users), based on the scientific value of the abstract, the novelty and the compliance of the subject to the symposium topics.

Main topics

The various sessions will cover the following domains: Control of porosity and hierarchical materials, electrocatalytic and photocatalytic processes, advanced preparation of catalysts and supports, alternative synthetic methods, key concepts and tools in catalyst preparation, metallic nanoparticles.

Organizing committee

The organization of the PREPA congresses is historically borne by scientists from the Université catholique de Louvain, presently D. Debecker, M. Devillers, E. Gaigneaux, S. Hermans, P. Ruiz, and from KU Leuven, C. Kirshhock, J. Martens.

Book of abstracts and publication

A book containing all accepted abstracts will be remitted to the participants.

Oral presentations and a selection of posters will be published in a special issue of Catalysis Today upon invitation. Only original contributions will be considered and will be submitted to a higher standards reviewing process.

Venue

Louvain-la-Neuve is Belgium’s newest town which hosts the University of Louvain (UCL); this town now aims to be both a town like any other and at the same time unique…
