Abstract
This fragmentary papyrus contains the first evidence for the hipparchy of the Macedonians and documents for the first time the hierarchy of the ethnic hipparchies. The text probably deals with the collection of taxes from the cavalrymen (of the numered and ethnic hipparchies) by military officials, most likely by military logeutai. So the papyrus records the names of 12 or 13 military logeutai.
