Abstract
Landsberger first observed orthographic variations of sig7/si12-ga and sar(-ga) in the inscriptions of Gudea and concluded that “green” could likewise be written sigx(sar), sex(sar)-ga. While this has either been rejected or viewed as an idiosyncratic orthography in the Gudea inscriptions, the present paper discusses possible attestations to sigx(sar) outside the Gudea corpus.
