Zusammenfassung

Nach gut zwei Jahren produktivem Einsatz des Next Generation-Bibliothekssystems Alma an der Universitätsbibliothek Mannheim wird gezeigt, wie sich das System und die Abläufe der Bibliothek seitdem verändert haben. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt dabei auf der Einbindung von Alma in die deutschsprachige bibliothekarische Infrastruktur und dem Management von E-Ressourcen. Außerdem werden die systemtechnische Betreuung von Alma, die Schnittstellen von Alma und die Alma-Community thematisiert.

Abstract

After more than two years of productive application of the Next Generation Library System Alma at the University Library Mannheim, the change of the system and the library processes since then will be demonstrated. The focus of attention is on the integration of Alma into the German language library infrastructure and the management of e-resources. Also, Alma’s system technology support, Alma interfaces and the Alma community will be discussed.
