Abstract

Il nuovo Dizionario di Tedesco (Zanichelli/Klett) edited by Luisa Giacoma and Susanne Kolb, now in its fourth edition (2019), highlights the combinatorial possibilities of two languages in comparison through “structure formulas” and collocators. This comparison shows the combinatorial divergences between the two languages: German and Italian do not run parallel paths; instead, they sometimes take entirely divergent directions. Representing lemmas within a context specified by “structure formulas” and collocators also determines the organisation of the entry into different meanings.
