Abstract
The final chapter synthesises the key themes, challenges, and opportunities presented in the volume. The chapter points to a need of more nuanced understanding of citizenship dynamics in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and more interdisciplinary research on citizenship. It also calls for innovative approaches that challenge ethno-national understanding of citizenship, resonating with scholars, policy makers, and all who seek to comprehend the evolving landscape of citizenship and democracy in CEE and beyond.
