Retraction of: The Effect of a Gender Difference in the Apolipoprotein E Gene DNA Polymorphism on Serum Lipid Levels in a Serbian Healthy Population
Retraction of: Sanja Stanković, Sanja Glišić and Dragan Alavanatić. 2000. The Effect of a Gender Difference in the Apolipoprotein E Gene DNA Polymorphism on Serum Lipid Levels in a Serbian Healthy Population. Clin Chem Lab Med. Volume 38, Issue 6, pages 539–544. (https://doi.org/10.1515/CCLM.2000.079).
The retraction has become necessary because of self-plagiarism of the article “Association of ApoE Polymorphism with Serum Lipids in Serbian Healthy Population” by Sanja Stanković, Vesna Spasojević-Kalimanovsa and Dragan Alavanatić published in the journal Yugoslav Medical Biochemistry, the legal predecessor of the Journal of Medical Biochemistry, official journal of the Society of Medical Biochemists of Serbia. The Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Biochemistry, Prof. Dr. Nada Majkić-Singh, detected the self-plagiarism recently and consequently retracted the article in the journal Yugoslav Medical Biochemistry, and asked the Editors of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (CCLM) to retract the article published in CCLM as well.
The CCLM Editors and the Publisher sincerely regret the situation and wish to apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused.
