About this journal
Zeitschrift für celtische Philologie (ZcP) was founded in 1897 by Kuno Meyer and Ludwig Christian Stern. It is thus the oldest significant periodical of Celtic studies still in existence. In the early period, the focus of the ZcP was Celtic (mainly Early Irish) philology and extant texts in Continental Celtic languages (mainly Gaulish). Later, these areas were extended to include modern Celtic languages and typological questions.
All submissions will be reviewed by at least one external referee (peer reviewer). The resulting comments and recommendations will be forwarded anonymously to the relevant author and will be taken into consideration by the editors as part of the editing process.
