The slab albedo and criticality problem for the quadratic scattering kernel with the HN method

Abstract
The one speed, time independent neutron transport equation for slab geometry with quadratic anisotropic scattering kernel is considered. Albedo, transmission factor and criticality thickness are calculated by the HN method. The numerical results obtained are listed for different selected parameters. It is shown that the method is concise and leads to fast converging numerical results.
Kurzfassung
Das Albedo- und Kritikalitätsproblem für den quadratischen Streukern mit Hilfe der HN Methode. Die Eingruppen-, zeitunabhängige Neutronentransportgleichung für Plattengeometrie mit quadratischem anisotropen Streukern wurde betrachtet. Albedo, Transmissionsfaktor und Kritikalitätsdicke wurden mit Hilfe der HN Methode berechnet. Die numerischen Ergebnisse werden für verschiedene ausgewählte Parameter in tabellarischer Form vorgestellt. Es wird gezeigt, dass die Methode präzise ist und zu schnell konvergierenden numerischen Ergebnissen führt.
