An analytical solution for the time-dependent SN transport equation in a slab

Abstract

In this work an analytical solution for the time-dependent SN transport equation in a slab using the double Laplace transform technique is reported. This procedure leads to an analytical solution for the angular flux in integral form. Numerical simulations are presented and compared with results in the literature.

Kurzfassung

Eine analytische Lösung für die zeit-abhängige SN Transportgleichung in einer Platte. In diesem Beitrag wird eine analytische Lösung der zeit-abhängigen SN Transportgleichung in einer Platte mit Hilfe der zweidimensionalen Laplace-Transformation beschrieben. Dieses Verfahren führt zu einer analytischen Lösung für den raumwinkelbezogenen Fluß in integraler Form. Numerische Simulationen werden vorgestellt und mit Ergebnissen aus der Literatur verglichen.
