Ratio image seeking with multiple-wavelength X-ray diffraction data

Abstract
The deconvolution of (multiple wavelength) Patterson maps by minimum function was replaced by ratio image seeking (β synthesis). The resulting map shows less spurious peaks and more details in two heavyatom structures (hemimorphite, barium nitrite monohydrate). The transformation of Bijvoet differences in a Sinus-Patterson synthesis enabled the estimation of hydrogen positions which could not be derived by usual X-ray methods.
