Cu1+-haltige Doppeloxide mit seltenen Erdmetallen1

Abstract

Cu2O reacts with La2O3, Nd2O3, Sm2O3 and Eu2O3 to form double oxides Cu(RE)O2 with the rhombohedral NaHF2 structure. The interatomic distances for CuLaO2 are given. For the NaHF2-type compounds Cu1+Me3+O2 (Me3+ = Al, Cr, Ga, Mn, Fe, Co, Rh as well as La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu) an increase of the lattice parameter a (hexagonal orientation) with increasing size of Me3+ is observed, while the changes of c are only small. Oxides Cu1+(RE)O2 with (RE)3+ ions smaller than Eu3+ and with Y3+ or In3+ could not be obtained. The preparation of the corresponding silver compounds Ag1+(RE)O2 was also not successful.
