Abstract
The document treated in this article deals with an oath of allegiance to the last hitherto known hittite Great King Šuppiluliyama II. On the one hand is it possible, to adjoin this text a further little fragment. On the other hand the fragment KUB 40.38 is hitherto regarded as belonging to the so called “treaty? with a unknown partner” (KBo 4.14). But it seems not really to fit with this text. It may, however, fit very good with our document.
