Abstract
The sequence of the Chalcolithic – to the Early Bronze Age period in Central Anatolia is yet not complete, as a study by Schoop has shown. Especially the transition between both complexes is still an unresolved question, as is clear on behalf of the data from Alişar Höyük. Here a gap between both periods is probable, being roughly contemporaneous with the Late Uruk-Period (Late Chalcolithic 5) in northern Mesopotamia. Since no site of this phase has been excavated so far in Central Anatolia, this small study presented here, tries to give hints, as to how such a missing link could be defined.
