Abstract

Following the first part of this article (p. 156–189), the sequel continues the discussion of some of the important iqqāti-documents, focusing on the texts from Alişar in particular. Furthermore, it addresses the question of the “Great Kings” of Anatolia during the Old Assyrian Period, and attempts to link the sources of the period to the so-called Hittite “Anitta-text”. The new eponym-list also published in this volume (p. 103–132) is applied as a chronological framework to the Old Assyrian sources, and some comments and additions to the important text are given. As a result of the inquiry, a fixed date for Anitta′s destruction of Hattuša is put forward.
