Abstract
Mikhail Bakhtin offers us a typology to understand better how biblical intertextuality works. Phenomena such as stylization, parodic use of another’s speech, or hidden polemic can help perceive how the relationship among texts results from a previous social debate. We focus on studying hybrid constructions in which authors develop an intentional use of another’s speech. This work analyzes the dependencies among Psalm 82 (especially the expression »You are gods« in v. 6) and texts which referenced that Psalm in concrete historical and theological milieus.
Zusammenfassung
Michail Bachtin bietet uns eine Typologie, um besser zu verstehen, wie die biblische Intertextualität funktioniert. Phänomene wie Stilisierung, parodistische Verwendung der Sprache eines anderen oder versteckte Polemik können uns helfen zu erkennen, wie die Beziehung zwischen Texten einer vorangegangenen gesellschaftlichen Debatte zu verstehen ist. Wir konzentrieren uns auf die Untersuchung hybrider Konstruktionen, in denen Autoren eine absichtliche Verwendung der Sprache eines anderen entwickeln. In dieser Arbeit werden die Abhängigkeiten zwischen Psalm 82 (insbesondere der Ausdruck »Ihr seid Götter« in V. 6) und Texten, die sich auf diesen Psalm beziehen, in konkreten historischen und theologischen Milieus analysiert.
Résumé
Mikhaïl Bakhtine nous propose une typologie pour mieux comprendre le fonctionnement de l’intertextualité biblique. Des phénomènes comme la stylisation, l’utilisation parodique d’un autre discours ou la polémique cachée peuvent aider à percevoir comment la relation entre les textes résulte d’un débat social antérieur. Nous nous concentrons sur l’étude des constructions hybrides dans lesquelles les auteurs développent une utilisation intentionnelle d’un autre discours. Ce travail analyse les dépendances entre le Psaume 82 (en particulier l’expression « vous êtes des dieux » au v. 6) et les textes qui font référence à ce Psaume dans des milieux historiques et théologiques concrets.
