An Update on AIC-CERT

Abstract
The AIC-CERT program is a cohesive group of strongly committed museum and library professionals who monitor disasters as they occur across the nation and respond accordingly. This paper describes the planning process, implementation and development of the project. Consideration is given for assessment and future direction.
Zusammenfassung
Bei dem CERT-Programm (Cultural Emergency Response Teams) des American Institute for Conservation handelt es sich um einen Service für Museen, Bibliotheken und Archive in den Vereinigten Staaten. Das Programm wird durch Teams von engagierten Experten aus Museen und Bibliotheken repräsentiert, die im Land auftretende Katastrophenfälle beobachten und beschreiben und sachgerechte Maßnahmen einleiten. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Planungsphase, Einführung und Weiterentwicklung dieses Programms, wobei die Evaluierung und die zukünftige Entwicklung berücksichtigt werden.
Resumé
Le programme CERT (Cultural Emergency Response Teams) est un service que l'Institut Américain pour la Conservation met à la disposition des musées, bibliothèques et archives des Etats-Unis d'Amérique. Le programme est représenté par une équipe cohérente d'experts éminemment compétents des musées et bibliothèques qui observent et analysent les catastrophes au moment où elles surviennent sur le territoire américain et prennent les mesures appropriées pour y remédier. Cet article décrit le processus de planification, la mise en application et le développement du projet. Il prend également en considération l'évaluation et l'évolution ultérieure du programme.
