Abstract
This study presents the first confirmed record of the long-eared hedgehog (Hemiechinus auritus) in Lebanon, specifically at Ras El Assi, Hermel. This finding extends the known range of the species regionally and globally and contributes to regional biodiversity documentation. The record was obtained through an opportunistic observation in a semi-arid habitat, reinforcing the importance of biodiversity surveys in underrepresented areas. Further research is recommended to assess population status and potential conservation needs.
