Resumen:
Desde el siglo III a.C., las villas de Interamna y Reate mantuvieron un litigio a causa de las obras que, para mejorar el régimen de los ríos que bañaban la zona, emprendió el censor Curio Dentado, en el 272. A partir de entonces, las lluvias copiosas afectaron no sólo a Interamna sino a la misma Roma, donde el Tíber se desbordaba por las crecidas de aquellos afluentes de su cabecera. Todo esto motivó un debate en el senado sobre medidas a tomar, que desde una perspectiva histórica siempre favorecieron a Reate.
Summary:
Since the third century B.C., the towns Interamna and Reate held a dispute on account of the works made by the censor Curio Dentatus, in 272 in order to the improvement of the rivers regimen of the zone. Since that time, the copious rains affected not only to Interamna but also the same Rome, where river Tiberis overflowed by the floods of headwaters streams. All these facts open a discussion in the senate about the actions what must be taken. From a historical view, these ones always bestowed a favour to Reate.
