The 7th European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology and the Biobased Economy, provides attendees with an insight into this exciting and rapidly evolving landscape and offers the opportunity to be part of the process of building a stronger more sustainable biobased economy. Taking place, in association with IAR, EuropaBio and Smithers Rapra will build on the success of EFIB 2013, making the most of the event’s new format to draw an even larger crowd of biobased economy professionals.
An overview of session topics:
Achieving global scale-up of the biobased economy
This session will focus on the opportunities and challenges in developing a biobased economy in different nations, including case studies putting policy into practice across the Americas, Europe and Asia, through joint presentations between successful industry commercial projects and the policymakers behind the funding/regional support for successful commercialization
Reality check: Financing the biobased economy
This round table session will focus on where the EU stands now on funding for innovation and production of new biobased products
Competitive, sustainable and resource efficient feedstocks
This non-technical session will focus on providing an up to date market analysis of the current state of the feedstocks market, including a vision of future feedstock availability and European competitiveness compare with other regions in the world.
