A significant proportion of individuals living in developing nations, particularly those in rural and isolated regions, lack sufficient access to healthcare facilities. The recent development of technologies for telecommunication has the potential to enhance healthcare services. The utilization of mobile health (mHealth) holds significant promise as a supportive system within the healthcare sector for addressing the disparities in providing healthcare by the urban and rural hospitals. Health concerns are often considered to be the primary obstacle to achieving sustainable global development. The integration of information and communication technologies into the healthcare sector, particularly the use of mobile communications, is revolutionizing the provision of healthcare services by enhancing accessibility, affordability, and availability. The chapter analyzes the incorporation of mHealth apps into healthcare systems, proving their capacity to improve sustainability. mHealth enables individuals to take an active role in managing their health, enhances the efficiency of healthcare delivery, and minimizes the environmental impact associated with conventional healthcare procedures. In conclusion, mHealth apps provide a great opportunity to enhance the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability of healthcare systems. The purpose of the study is to assess the potential, difficulties, and obstacles involved in developing a mobile healthcare system in poor countries. A prospective mHealth model has been developed, which is based on mobile cellular networks. It presents a comprehensive set of recommendations to facilitate the effective utilization of a mobile healthcare system.
