Abstract
The global transition toward sustainable energy systems necessitates continuous advancements in solar energy technologies. The materials used in solar energy systems have undergone significant innovations aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs and enhancing environmental sustainability. This chapter reviews recent advancements in sustainable materials utilized in solar energy, focusing on their impact on education and industrial development. Through a comprehensive analysis of emerging trends, this chapter explores the integration of these materials into educational curricula and their influence on industrial growth. Additionally, the chapter includes two tables summarizing key material properties and their applications as well as two figures illustrating advancements in material technologies and their industrial uptake.
