Ein Kapitel aus dem Buch Conflict Management in Nonprofits

Abstract

Functional nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) know that to lead is to create positive change. Yet, effective changemakers also know that with change, there is always resulting conflict as we upset the status quo. To better cope with the resulting challenges that successful NGOs foment, we can approach conflict with a spirit of creativity and curiosity using the Elemental Problem Solving Styles that Dr. Combs describes in her book, The Way of Conflict, and can be found in cultures around the world. In this chapter, we explore an ancient personality typing system and how it has been used by modern NGO leaders to seek more innovative solutions to our most vexing problems.
