Chapter 9 Exploring How Artificial Intelligence is Changing the HRM Landscape: Refuting the Fiction with Reality!

Abstract
With the advent of Industrial Revolution 4.0, technological development always spread fog of myth among people. Artificial Intelligence cannot be excluded from that. Among all the myths the harrowing myth is that Artificial Intelligence will supersede human jobs. The kind of impact AI is bringing to the table is beyond explanation, still analysts believe that it will bring more opportunities for humans. In this chapter, we have discussed in detail the changing landscape of human resource management due to artificial intelligence by investigating the literatures and other official reports to refute the myth that ‘AI is going to supplant human jobs in the coming years’, by elucidating the truth part. We have also presented some recommendations that can be taken into account while preparing the employees for the new technology.
