Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the conjunction of crises - political, social, ecclesial - that Chilean society is going through, through the prism of the concepts of coincidence and decoincidence developed by the philosopher François Jullien. On this basis, we will then try to show how Tillichian thought, in particular thanks to its concepts of theonomy and kairos, can constitute a particularly fertile resource for understanding and interpreting these Chilean liminalia.
