Christian Polke
Christian Polke ( ✝ ) was Professor of Ethics within the field of Systematic Theology at the Faculty of Theology, Georg-August-University Göttingen. He earned his doctorate in 2008 with a dissertation on the ideological neutrality of the state. After holding academic assistant positions in Heidelberg and Hamburg, he completed his habilitation in 2015. Polke was a founding member of theInitiative Niedersächsischer Ethikrat (INE), established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His publications includeExpressiver Theismus: vom Sinn personaler Rede von Gott (2020). Christian Polke passed away in April 2023.
