Abstract

This chapter offers an introduction to the topic and to the individual contributions of the present volume. First, it presents an evaluation of the general potential of combining (usage-based and cognitively oriented) Construction Grammar with Hispanic (and Romance) linguistics. Further, it aims at highlighting the innovative perspective of Construction Grammar(s) in comparison to more traditional approaches for the linguistic phenomena covered in this volume. The chapter concludes with a brief overview of the structure of the book as well as of the individual contributions.
